The Central Asia Sub-regional Strategic Planning Workshop took place at Evropa Hotel in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 22-23 October 2016. Hosted by Caritas Kyrgyzstan, the workshop was the last of the 4 sub-regional workshops of Caritas Asia's strategic planning process. Its results were consolidated with the results of the other 3 workshops held in Nepal, Thailand, and Hong Kong, to form the foundation of Caritas Asia's next strategic priorities and direction for 2017-2020.
The participants of the Central Asia workshop are coming from the CARITAS MOs of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Also present are some members of the Strategic Planning Team, and the Asia Regional President, Most Rev. Bishop Isao Kikuchi. The Apostolic Nuncio for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Most Rev. Francis Assissi Chullikatt also graced the workshop with his presence
