Southeast Asia Sub-regional Strategic Planning Workshop

Caritas Asia, together with Caritas Thailand held the Southeast Asia Sub-regional Strategic Planning Workshop at the Camillian Pastoral Care Center on 8-9 September 2016. The workshop provided a platform for the participants from the Caritas member organizations of Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to engage in a fraternal exchange of views, knowledge, and experience, in order to identify relevant issues and priority areas that would help shape the next strategic direction of Caritas Asia. The event was the second sub-regional workshop organized by Caritas Asia within its strategic planning process. The first one was held for the South Asia Sub-region in Kathmandu on 28-29 August 2016. Two other sub-regional workshops were scheduled to take place in Hong Kong (for East Asia) and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (for Central Asia). The results of the 4 Subregional workshops would become the basic foundation of Caritas Asia's next strategic orientations and direction for 2017-2020.
