Participants from the Caritas Member Organizations of Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, and Taiwan put their heads together in identifying the strategic priorities of Caritas Asia, during the East Asia Sub-regional Strategic Planning Workshop on 20-21 September 2016 at the Caritas Oswald Cheung International House in Hong Kong. The East Asia Subregion was joined by CHARIS Singapore, Caritas Mongolia, Caritas Belgium and some of the members of the Strategic Planning Team. The workshop was part of East Asia's contributions to the entire strategic planning process of the Caritas confederation in the region. Its results would be combined with the results of the other Sub-regional workshops in South Asia, South East Asia and Central Asia, to become the foundation of the next strategic priorities and direction of Caritas Asia from 2017-2020. Caritas Hong Kong hosted the event.
